POLICE ASH CIVIL CASES. At yesterday’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court police cases were taken, by Mr D. G. A. Cooper. S.M. For insobriety. Walter Henry Smith was fined IDs, or forty-eight hours’ detention; William Cyril Foley and George Bees, each 20s. or , three days. The use of obscene language cost Charles Chander £3, or fourteen days' imprisonment. On a charge of stealing a quantity of gas bracket. fittings valued at £5, the property of Horace Danvers Baker, Gus taye Henry Meyer, for whom Mr W. Perry appeared, was remanded until today. Bail was allowed in a sum of .£lO. \ CIVIL CLAIMS BY DEFAULT.
