NINE GERMAN SHIPS CAPTURED
BY ONE BRITISH WARSHIP ENEMY’S GUNBOAT CAPTURED AND COMMISSIONED The following cablegram was received by the Prime Minister last evening:— LONDON, October 1, 4.30 a.m. Official. —A British warship has captured off tho Cameroon river nine German merchantmen, with a total tonnage of 30,915 tons. The German gunboat Soden has been captured and commissioned.
