PETROGBAD, September 30. ’ New German army corps have functioned with the remnant of the Austrians in Galicia, and the combined army is in contact with the Russians on the Carpathian-Tarnow-Cracow front. , f , [The Germans have presumably entered Austria from Silesia. Tn© front named is not defined in length. The Russians have advanced to the Carpathians south of Przemysl, and Cracow is about 100 miles west of that point. Lemberg and Cracow are connected by rail, and Tamow is an important town on the lino fifty miles from Cracow, and 140 miles from Lemberg.] 5
