WEDDING.

•A,.pretty wedding was solemnised at “ Gleriardoch,” 144, Oriental terrace, on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Isabel Heriot Turnbull, only daughter of Mr James Turnbull, of the firm -of Turnbull, Hickso*, and Gooder, .was married to Mr Leonard'Claude Ttavers, youngest son of the late Air Kenyon Travers, of Hankey street,//Wellington) the- Rev. J. W. Chapman* officiating. The bride,- who was given away by -her father, looked charming in ; a trained gown of brocaded voile trimmed with shadow laoo and satin, and wore'the orthodox'veil and orange blossoms. She carried'a shower bouquet of snowdrops and choice blooms. 'There "were three bridesmaids in attendance, Miss Ivy Bennett, Miss Muriel -Betty, and little Miss Joan Travers (niece of th© bridegroom), the two former wearing gowns of cream crystalline voiley with laoe and satin trimming arid mob caps, and the latter a dress of hailstone muslin with ribbon - trimming. The two elder bridesmaids carried posies of violets, and the younger a silver crook. Mr Walter Travers acted as best man in place of Mr William Reed, who had joined the expeditionary force) and Mr Herbert Travers fulfilled the duties of groomsman, After the ceremony, tea was served in the diring-room, which had been prettily decorated for'the coca-, sion, and later the happy couple left on their honeymoon, which is being spent in the north. Th e bride’s travelling dress was of navy taffeta.
