On the report from committee, Sir Joseph Ward said that the importance of putting the Government in a strong financial position overrode every other consideration, and he Bad made no proposal i’< committee, as his action might be misunderstood. He still adhered to the view he bad expressed. , . , The bill was thou read a third time and passed.
