PATHETIC INCIDENT
YOUNG GERMAN OFFICER'S LAST WORDS. (Received August 13, 0.5 a.m.) PARIS, August 12. A French detachment met Germans with artillery near Nancy. The Gormans retired, a young officer wounded, who proven to be the son of Marscha.il Voubr© Berstein, late Ambassador to London. The French picked him up and he died in a few minutes. His last words were“ Thank you, gentlemen, I have done tny duty and served my country, as you are serving youra.”
