PRISES OFJOODBTUFFS A STEADY RISE REPORTED. (Received August 12, 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 11. The prices of foodstuffs are steadyrising throughout the United States. Farmers and stockmen are holding in expectation of higher values. Congress will be probably asked to investigate the existence of combines. The Armour Company explain that the rising prices are partly duo to the stability of the import of meat from Australia, while American stocks at present are very low.
