PURCHASE OFJOODSTUFFS f BENCH AND AMERICAN BANK’S GOLD CREDIT. PARIS, August 10. -‘Lo Matin’* states that the French ,»nd American Bank has opened a gold credit of thirty million francs to the Government’s account to purchase corn nnd other foodstuffs. . The paper adds that largo quantities cf grain in the United States and Argentine have been already bought for shipment to Franco and Great Britain. .
