NO DECLARATION OF WAR. BELIEF OF INTERNED BRITISH SUBJECTS: "Tlmee" and Sydney ".Sun" Services. (Received August 12,'5.15 p.m.) • LONDON, August 11. Mr Asquith, the I’rimo Minister, speaking in the House of Commons, said that everything would bo done to relieve the embarrassment of British subjects interned in Europe. Mr F. D. Acland, Foreign Undersecretary, stated that no declaration of war, or act of hostility, had yet occurred between Britain and Austria. Tho music halls are trying to reduce their artistes’ salaries by ono-hnlf. The Artistes’ Association ia strongly relisting tho proposal.
