According to statistics, 1613 cases have been attended to since the appointment of the first district nurse on October Ist, 1903, giving a yearly average of 161 for the past decade. The Wellington ambulance division-re-ported that 134 oases were treated during the year, an increase of thirty-five over the previous year. A great number of these were on the football fields. In all cases the treatment was satisfactory, and credit was due to the division for the manner in which its members carried out their work. On September 29th the annual inspection and re-examination of the division was hold. Assistant-Com-missioner H. H. Seed conducted tho inspection. and Dr H. E- Gibbs was tho examiner. All members present passed the examination. A satisfactory report was also presented by the Wellington nursing division of the brigade which now has a roll number of sixty-two. The Wellington South nursing division, which was registered at the -end of 1912, with a membership of thirty-six, likewise reported a year of progress. VALUABLE WORK DONE. Colonel W. J. Will, V.D.. D.M.S., in addressing the meeting, referred to the valuable work carried out by the association in its various branches, particularly the nursing division. A handsome bouquet of violets and autumn leaves was presented to Lady Liverpool by Miss Mack, on behalf of the Wellington District Nursing Guild and the Wellington Nursing Division. During the evening songs were rendered by Miss Mary Grant and Master Rodney Pankhnrat, and a recitation was given by Mr W. A. Spencer. Miss Ethel M. Barclay played the accompaniments. A collection in the hall resulted* in an adddition of JH3 Is did to the fund of the association.
