NATIVES’ ASSOCIATION CONCERT

The Grand Opera Hons© was filled to overflowing last evening, on the occasion of the inaugural sacred concert of the New Zealand Natives’ Association orchestra. The pro gramme comprised 'lie fol. lowing orchestral numbers" Credo (Gounod), "I Know that my Redeemer Liveth” f Handel). ’‘There is a Green Hill,” and ‘‘Gloria” from Mozarts 12th Mass. The orchestra, under the baton of Mr William McLnnghlan. gave e, creditable performance. The tenor solo,, “Thou Shalt Hast -with Me in Paradise," hr Mr H. J. Milsora, and the baritone, solo “Lord. My God,” by Mr Charlees Clarkson, were well received. The cornet eolo “Calvary,” by Mr F. Davey, was « capable rendition. Another excellent; number was the duet ‘‘Break. Divine Light,” by Messrs C. Clarkson and C, V. Mohr. Mrs T. Costello, who was to have sang ‘‘All Ye Who Travel," was unavoidably absent.
