“PAUL JONES”

0.1116 clovdr Amateur production, “Paul Jones,” nightly continues oh its tuneful way at the Grand Opera House. Judging by the big audiences that are the rule, the Wellington Amateur Operatic Society should not regret their ambitious attempt. All who see the opera are full of praises, not only of the individual items, but of the clever work in the choruses. The costumes are dainty and original, and the plot proceeds with a sparkling abandon on the ■ part of most _of the actors and actresses, which is very creditable. Dr Norman Hales as Bouillabaisse, the old smuggler, Master A. Fuller as the comical' little Petit Pierre, Miss Helen Gard’uer as Yvonne, Mr V. R. Meredith as Paul Jones, and Dr Isaacs as Bilboquet, are all well worth seeing and hearing. “Paul Jones” enters on its last three nights this evening.
