SEAGULL SWIMMING CLUB

The club’s annual report congratulates members on tno success obtained during the past year. Tms season tu© president. Dr Flaute-Miills, donated a handsome trophy, wnicii waq awarded -to 'the best all-round swimmer. Four events were held, namely diving, 10U yards medley. M): yards’ breast stroke and tO yards back stroke, and a 50 yards dash. lOaoh resulted in a win Jot Mira Oiyvo Arthur, with Mies Daisy Bolton second in the plunge and Miss Bridget Gibbs gaming second place in the latte*’ throe events, thus winning Mrs F. Grady’s trophies. Dr Piarts-Mills, Mrs N. Wright and Mies K. Arthur acted as judges in. these events. A squad was trained, by tiie ban, instructress for life saving, but only three .went up tor the ox urination and ware successful in passing, two for tho "award of merit/ (Musses Gibbs and Bolton) and one (Mite Nojan) for the proficiency certificate, but she has yet to complete her best.
