Tho Albanian Government concessions to the Epirotes include the formation of their own gendarmerie, tbs appointment of Christian Governors, with locally-eiected Administrative Councils, all to be under tho Powers’ guarantee; also education and language concessions. CAPTURE OF A TOWN. ESSAD PASHA ARRESTED. DURAZZO, May 19. Two thousand fanatical Mussulmans and insurgent peasants captured Sink, near Durctzz-o. They demand exemption from military service, and the use of the Albanian tongue in the schools. They accuse Essad Pasha of breaking his promises. Meanwhile, tho Italian squadron has arrived hastily at Durazzo. Essad Pasha and his wife have been arrested and placed aboard the AustroHungarian warship Szigetvai. It is not known at whoso instigation this was done. A COUP D’ETAT. ORGANISED BY ESSAD PASHA. (Received May 20, 11.40 p.m.) DURAZZO, May 20. Prince William of Wied a fortnight ago learnt that Essad Pasha was organising a coup d’etat, directed by Essad Pasha, to disarm his bodyguard, of three hundred men. Essad Pasha refused yesterday to carry out the plan, and five thousand of his supporters at Durazzo commenced a revolt, Essad firing tho first shot against the palace. The commanders on the Italian warships, who sent live hundred marines with machine guns, surrounded Essad’s honse, and his bodyguard made small resistance. Essad was surrounded, and marines are now guarding the palace.
