MERGING ROAD BOARD
Press Association. TIMARU, May 19. Geraldine County now contains three road districts. A meeting of ratepayers of the Geraldine and Mount Peel road districts a few days ago passed a resolution in favour of forming these districts into a separate county and merging the road boards. To-day a meeting of ratepayers in the Temuka road district resolved that they have no objection to the steps proposed to be taken by Geraldine and Mount Peel. The latter hope to secure greater efficiency end economy under the county system.
