At Palmerston, North on Thursday wo had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. The attendance of buyers was good, and wo quitted the bulk of our entry at late rates. Quotations: Woolly mixed lambs 14s Id to 14s sd, s.m. ewes hr lamb 15s 6d, forward wethers 20s. weaper heifers 32s fid, Jersey wcancr heifers £2 os. yearling steers £3 3s, 18-month steers £3 14s 6d, 3-year steers £5 3s, forward bullocks £8 10s, empty forward oows £3 los to £4 14s, fat cows £6, springing heifers £5 to £5 17s 6d, springing oows £5 17s 6d.

At hoi Id mg yesterday we had a heavy yarding of sheep, and a good entry of cattle. Lambs were a shade easier on last week's quotations, but wo hare to report a good cloaranoeGattle were in good demand, and ©very pen was quitted, prices being in favour of vendors, Small lambs made 11s 5d to 13s 7d. medium lambs 13s 6d and up to 14« lid for good lambs, forward ewes 15s 4d, fat and forward ewes 17s 2d, store wethers 17s 6d to 18s 7d, forward wethers 21s 7d, aged ewes in lamb 14s Id, Homney ram lamb 17s, weaner steor calves (inferior) 24s 6d, weaner heifers (good) £2, yearling heifers £2' ss, store oows £2 17s 6d to £3 10s. forward cows £4 2s. light fat heifers £5 4s, springing heifers £B, fat cows £7 2s 6d. Dalgety and Co., Ltd. At Upper Hutt on Thursday we offered a fairly good yarding of sheep, and a heavy one of cattle. The sheep met with keen competition, and realised very satisfactory prices, and all lines changed hands at the end of the sale. Cattle also were in good demand, especially yearlings of both sexes, and we disposed of the bulk of their entry at prices satisfactory to the vendors- Quotations are ae under: —Fat owes and wethers to 18s 7d, fat lambs to 15s, woolly cull lambs to. 7s 4d. yearling heifers £1 18s 6d to £2 10s, 2-year steers to £5 10s. 2-year heifers to £3 6s, weaner calves 255, 2j-year heifers to £4 12s. springing cows £4 to £l4, fat cows to £7, store cows to £3 10s, forward empty oows to £5 Is. At Palmerston North on Thursday competition for all classes of stock was good and sales were effected at the following quotations;—Fat ewes ICs 8d to 18>s, lambs 13s Gd to 14s 4d, blackfaced lambs 11s Bd, forward cows £4 19s to £5 6s, store cows £2 10s to £4, good weaner steers £2 6s, mixed weaners 20s to 275, 15-month heifers £3 7s.
