The sheep met with keen competition, and realised very satisfactory prices, and all lines changed hands at the end of the sale. At Palmerston North on Thursday competition for all classes of stock was good and sales were effected at the following quotations;—Fat ewes ICs 8d to 18>s, lambs 13s Gd to 14s 4d, blackfaced lambs 11s Bd, forward cows £4 19s to £5 6s, store cows £2 10s to £4, good weaner steers £2 6s, mixed weaners 20s to 275, 15-month heifers £3 7s.
