Mr Turner, an actuary, reports that owing to a miscalculation in the Friendly Society, records, not to fraud, 1 the Postal and* General .Civil Service Benevolent Society show's a deficiency of £883,000 in the funds necessary to pay promised benefits. He recommends increased contributions or largely reduced benefits.
