Mr and Mrs Henry Robinson, of 1 Eve Suffolk, have celebrated their golden wedding. Mr Robinson is 71,, land his wife 67. Mrs Robinson’s' mother, who is S 3, was present at the celebration. The couple have 11 children, 36 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren living. About four feet below the surface of the ancient city of Schechem, in, Palestine, Professor Sellin, of Vienna,, unearthed a magnifying lens of semitransparent horn, in a good state of preservation, and bearing a Hebrew inscription on the frame. Archie Leonard Cowper has been ordered by the Blackpool magistrates to beep a bulldog belonging to him under control. The animal sprang at a boy,, hit him close to the eye, and tore the flesh down his face. The police said the boy would bo marked for life.
