BILL IN UNITED STATES SENATE. I>7 Tclciraph—Press Association—Copyrleh* (Received May 14, 0.50 p.m.) OTTAWA, May 14. Tho Senate considered Senator Davis’s hilt to abolish tipping. Senator Davis declared that waiters aud waitresses throughout the country favoured the hill. Senator Choquctte declared that the bill was unworkable. Senator Boyer questioned whether Parliament added to its dignity by considering such a measure. He said that it would ho impossible to enforce such a law.

The bill passed tho second reading, with a proviso omitting servants in private houses.
