A TEMPEST-TOSSED SCHOONERPress Association. GISBORNE, May 6. The schooner Arete, from Auckland, when off Tolago on Saturday evening, was struck by a hurricane. Her mainsail blew out, and tho vessel put to eea. A big sea came aboard at 11 p.m. and swept the decks. . A quantity of gear was washed overboard, including meat and fresh water supplies.
