Fanning Island, Honolulu, Canada, United! States of America, Central America West Indies, Japan, and United Kingdom, will be via Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main Trunk. Train, at 8 a-m.. on Friday, April 10th. The parcel post mail, per Main Trunk Express closes at the C.P.O. at 10.30 a.m., and for the south, per ferry steamer, at 6 p.m. On Good Friday, April 10th. the Chief Post Office will he closed in all branches.. The only dispatch of mails for Wailarapa, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts will close’ on that day at 0.30 a.m. Auckland district and the English and American mails, via Vancouver, will close at the Chief Post Office. Wellington, at 8 a.m. on Good Friday; and mails for dispatch by steamers will close the previous evening at 8 o’clock. There will be no clearances of the city and suburban receivers. The midnight clearances will be made as usual. There will not be any delivery by letter-car-riers. On Thursday, April 9th, the inquiry counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m- for delivery of all correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office, and the same evening the inquiry counter in the letter-carriers’ department will be open from 8 to 9 o’clock for delivery of all correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs; also the public counter in parcels department will be open from 8 to 9 p.m.. On Saturday, April 11th, the lettercarriers will make an afternoon delivery in the city and suburbs, for which all correspondence must lie posted by 1.40 p.m. The letter-carriers’ department will he open from 8 to 9 p.m. for delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs, and the inquiry counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. for delivery of all correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office; also the public counter in the parcels department will he open from 8 to 9 p.m. On Easter Monday. April 13th. the Ghisf Post Office will be open in all branches, excent the Money-order and Savings Bank Department, from 9 to 10 a.m. The only dispatch of mails for Walrarapn, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu. Raneitikei. Wanganui. Taranaki. and Auckland districts will close at 6.30a.m.. and mails for disnatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m. The city and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day. but the midnight clearances will be made as usual.
