RIOTS IN DUBLIN
LARKINITES AND THE POLICE WORK DEAIANDED FOR THE UNEMPLOYED. By Telegraph—Preas Association—CopyngM (Received March 14, 3 p.m.) LONDON, March 14. A man named White, armed with a blackthorn, headed a procession of Larkinites with, stave? to demand from the Lord Mayor work for the unemployed. White ordered the police to clear the, road. After a serious conflict the police dispersed tho procession. Batons were freely used, and' several persons were injured. Three men are in hospital. Whito was injured about tho face, and was arrested. INSPECTOR’S STATEMENT. Or Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrlgm (Received Marci; 15, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. March 15. _ Whito has been allowed out on bail. Ho was charged with assaulting the inspector, a sergeant, two constables, and a mail-van driver. Tho inspector stated that he was struck on the hack of the head with a blunt instrument while he was arresting White. Meanwhile, the latter struck him with a blackthorn on the chest. White violently resisted arrest.
