MELBOURNE, March 13. , Papuan statistics show 'that last year was a record for plantation development. There were 216 in operation compared with 76 five years ago. The acreage increased* from 4955 to 35.363 acres, including 6256 under rubber, 3057 under hemp, and 609 under cotton.
