The ’Federal Prime Minister, Mr Cook, speaking at a Liberal banquet at Cowra, said he had no hesitation in saying that drastic reform was needed, both in the Commonwealth and tho State, but in the present condition of parties it wast hopeless to expect to put improved machinery on tho Statute Book. Yet nothing was more important to the democracy of Australia.
