POST AND TELEGRAPH MATCH
WELLINGTON’S EASY WIN OVER CHRISTCHURCH. The second innings of the match between teams from the Christchurch and Wellington branches of the Post and Telegraph Department was played on the Basin Reserve yesterday afternoon, when the local team won an exciting game by 127 runs. With fives minutes to go the game looked- like ending in a draw, but Grace sent up a lovely hall to Barnett, and saved the situation. Martin played a splendid innings fhr Christchurch, being the first man to go in, arid carrying His bat with his score standing at 121. Included in his total were eighteen 4’s.
