TWENTY PERSONS ARRESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, February 8. Twenty hare been arrested for being concerned in the Westport disturbances. JJLast week a play By George Birmingham (The Rev. J. O. Hannay), “General John Regan,” was acted at Westport, Mayo, where Mr Hannay was rector for twenty years. Four hundred persons attacked the company, broke the windows of their hotel, stormed the stage and smashed the scenery. The police dispersed them with their batons. The demonstrations were duo to the belief that “Baßymoy” of the play was Westport.]
