TWO MEN SCALDED

Two plumbers, Thomas / Dunn and A. G. Wilson, employed by "Messrs .1 - J. Niven and Co., were rather badly) burned about the arms and legs yesterday on the steamer Maugapapa, which is undergoing overhaul at the Clyde quay wharf. They were working in the engine-room when the engineer, went to close a steam-cock, and as he was doing this the steam-cock broke, and allowed the steam to escape from the boiler with full force. It reached tlie iwo plumbers, who were working several feet away, and they were scalded to such an extent that Dr Henry, who was summoned, ordered their rcn moval to the hospital.
