DROWNED IN CREEK

TRAP CAPSIZED BY FLOODED STREAM. Press Association. WAIMATE, February 3. James Ancel, a bricklayer, and an old Waimate resident, was drowned in the Waimate creek this forenoon. Ho was crossing the creek in a trap, when the swollen water" turned the vehicle over and Ancel was carried down stream, his body being found half a mile further down this after noon. Deceased was over sixty years of age.
