BOWLING
OTAKI v. LYALL BAY. Three rinks from the Lyall Bay Bowling Club visited Otaki on Saturday to play a return match. Rain fell heavily for nearly four hours. After it stopped, one game of sixteen heads was played, with the result in favour of Otaki, who won all games, besides being 33 up on the aggregate. Mr Stansell, president of the Lyall Bay Club, thanked the Otaki bowlers for the hospitality extended to them. Mr Thomson, president of the local club, said he hoped that nest time- members of the club visited Otaki the weather would be more favourable, Following are the scores : —Lyall Bay: Burgess, Foster, Morra.li, and Stansell (s), 11 v. Hartill, MoMorran, Howeß, and A. Bright (s), 20. Lyall Bay; Jones, Eassou, Cricbly, Claxton Is), 13 v. H. Bright, Bills, Thomson, and Satherley (s), 23. Lyall Bay; Robinson, Stone, Caldow, and Ashton (s), 10 v. Ayre, Noble, McKegg, and Ferguson Os), 14. Totals—Lyall Bay 34, Otaki 57.
