The festive season is disfigured by the strikes in Leeds and Dublin being still unsettled, 400 platelayers being out in Cheshire, 3000 carters at Dundee, thirty lifo-tboatmen_ at GorIcston, one hundred shop assistants in Swansea, and 5000 transport workers in Manchester, butchers’ assistants in Edinburgh, and postal employees in Glasgow.
