LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
PENDING APPOINTMENT. It is freely stated that the Hon. T. Kelly, whose term as a Legislate# Councillor expired a few days ago, will -ot he reapnointed by the. Government. Mr Kelly has returned to his home in Taranaki. Another report that ie current, consequent upon the vacancy thus created, is that Mr H. L. Michel, who stood in the interests of “Roform” at the Grey by-election and wag defeated by Mr P. C. Webb, will 1m o lie red a scat in the Council.
