Press Association. GISBORNE. October 23. The Poverty Bay Turf Club’s spring mooting opened to-day in rainy weather, though there were warm and sunny spells at intervals during the afternoon. There was a large attendance, and the day’s racing was most enjoyable, being characterised by remarkably close finishes. Results: JUNCTION HANDICAP, Of 100 sovs.; six furlongs. SM. G.
