TRENTHAM TRACK NOTES

Yesterday morning most of the work was done on the outside of the course proper, but the track was a tune holding owing to tho rain which fell during the night and early morning. Patroualo (alone) galloped halt a mile in good style. _ , Suratufa registered 3i isec for tlio last throe of four furlongs. Haskayne, Bollin, Altcar. and the rest of tho Hon. J. D. Ormond s team were all restricted to easy pacing. Kilrain (A. Reid) had a lot tho best of Mira (K. Lambess) at the end of a six-furlong gallop, run in Imin 20sec. Rewi Poto oanfcered and Toa Tero (Deeley) registered Imin 2Xsec lor six furlongs. . , Los Angelos was restricted to th rcoquarter pace. Four furlongs were got over in 52Jsec in a pleasing manner by Secret Link. , Patronalo accounted for halt a mile in ooscc. He was not extended.. Charmilla (Charlemagne ll.—Armilla) got to the end of three furlongs in 4.0 2-ssec. ' Honesty, the other member of M. Hobbs’s team, did half-pace work. Hansard and Parky did like tasks. La Reina and Bleriot wont steady, and then strode along over the last seven furlongs. Merry Roe easily defeated Castalia in a sprint down the straight. Immcr galloped throe furlongs, while Glenfern got to the end of five in Imin osec. There was little between Sea Pink (W. Avery) and Cheddar (L. Wilson) in a set-to over a mile, which occupied Imin 52isec Football beat Culprit over half a mile in 52 l-ssec. Both were going easy at the finish. Cadonia sprinted, while Turna and Uoumania got over half a mile in good style. Passadena was going better than Byron at the finish of six furlongs, run in Imin 22sec. Tikitamu spurted, as did Tree Lucerne. ■ ,i Emperador (Kennedy) finished in front of Bronze (Bell) in a gallop over a mile. Undecided (K. Lambess) was pulled off, his rider having lost an iron. The first two named appeared to finish up their tasks well. Five furlongs were left behind by Ermengarde and Bertrada in Imin 7sec'. Ngarua and Nonett© finished five furlongs together m Imin Bsec. Makiri (D. Cameron) and Incaugond©r (T. Kent) set out for a round of Itho big fences, but tho second brought Makiri down. Incangender completed ;the round alone, and jumped well. Crown Pearl (Oliver) had a good bil •the best of Royal Arms (O’Shea) at tho end of half a mile, which took o3|seo to complete. Both horses look particularly well. Royal Arms afterwards traversed a circuit at a strong halfpaoo. The Hague beat Soltano very easily in a gallop extending over, eight fur-; longs in Imin 53sec. „ Beldam© and the Varoo—Nerve colt finished almost abreast; and a length in front of Chime, over four furlongs in 51ieec. The Varco qolt got the worst of the start, hnt finished well. Ladoga (Oliver) ran half a mile in 54seo, while Naumai (Prichard) completed a similar journey in 52 l-sseo. ’ Odessa” and; Silver Monarch did halfpace exercise. Mount Victoria cantered. Sartovna (K. Lambess) and;fhd-two-year-olds Reputation .(Deeley),' rPafiform (Bell), Consultation (H. Lowe)., and Martian Princess were sent along over three furlongs and a half. The last three were covered in 39 l-sseo. Sartovna was in front at the finish, and was followed homo by Martian Princess and Reputation. HimitaUgi gave a ■ good display over five schooling fences. Potoa (O’Shea) showed to better advantage than Awahou (T. Prichard), ■whilst running the last four of five furlongs in 54eec. Valogda, the Charlemagne II. — .Monardo and Hierarch—Peace fillies Sprinted down tho straight.
