Bishop Frodsham, formerly of North Queensland, addressing the Society of the Sacred Mission, said the weakness in the remoter parishes of England was deplorable. Many of the clej'njdid not receive 80s weekly. The cases of clerical poverty wore a disgrace to the Church, which battened upon the clergy’s private means. Ho recommended the application of the Australian Bush Brotherhood’s methods to the rural parishes.
