Niven and Co. announce that they are still manufacturing the wellknown “Luko” range at their works, Wakefield street. A now list of prices for motors and cycles is advertised by the A.J.S. Agency, Lambton quay, where repairs are also undertaken at low charges. The D.I.C. is making a special feature of ladies’ neckwear to-day. Serviceable cotton underskirts in the latest styles are advertised by Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd. Messrs Haroourt and Co. will sell, on November sth, two town sections and houses at Levin. W. Crabtree and Son, Eva street, require men for work at a bush sawmill. Entries for the Wellington Technical College examinations for electric wiremen and fitters close on October 23th. At the Gas Company’s lecture room this afternoon Miss Rennie will give a gas-cooking demonstration. Te Aro House is offering attractive bargains in dainty lingerie. Monday next (Labour Day) will bo observed as a law holiday in Wellington.
