AISGILL DISASTER
TRIAL OF ENGINE-DRIVER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, October 20. The trial of Caudle, the driver of the second train in the recent disastrous collision at Aisgill, Yorkshire, on a charge of the manslaughter of Sir Arthur Douglas, has commenced. The signalman Sutherland admitted that he put the homo signal at “Danger!” when Caudle’s train was almost upon him.
