A FEILDING MARRIAGE
The Presbyterian Church, Rewa, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday last, when Mary Elizabeth (Mollie), second daughter of Mr James Shaw, of Rewa (late of Canterbury), was married to Herbert Edward, second son of Mr T. Signal, of Rewa. The Rev. Mr McCarr, of
Mangaweka, performed the ceremony. The church, which was tastefully decorated with arum lilies and white banksia roses, was filled with a large congregation of guests and relations. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful travelling costume of saxe blue cloth, trimmed with black velvet and buttons. She carried a shower bouquet composed of the lovely pink roses and maidenhair ferns, the gift of Mrs E. Carr, of Feilding. Two bridesmaids were in attendance, Miss Matilda Shaw, sister of the bride, and Miss Marjorie Millar, a niece, both wearing pretty cream silk frocks. Mr Jack Hudson was best man. As tho bride entered the church the choir sang '• Tho voice that breathed o’er Eden,” and later Mrs F. Signal played tho “ Wedding March.” After tho ceremony a reception was held by Mr and Mrs Shaw, when the toast, of the bride and bridegroom was toasted with musical honours. Mrs Shaw, stepmother of the bride, wore a handsome gown of black silk with overdress of lace. Mrs T. Signal, mother of the bridegroom, wore a grey silk gown; Mrs Follow, a pretty gown of ivory silk; Mrs Millar, navy blue costume.
