WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION SECOND BOUND ALTERED. The management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last evening. There were present ; Messrs C. G. Wilson (chairman), Midlane, Mason. Fanning. Crombie. Goldfinch. Hickson. Bray, Martin and Beechoy (secretary). It was decided that the chairman and Mr Fanning should meet Mr A. A. George, president of tne Wednt-duy Cricket dissociation, this afternoon and discuss the matter of the rental of rooms at the Basin Reserve. On behalf of the committee appointed to report upon the question as io whether there should be a second round, or semi-finals and a final, it was recommended that at the conclusion of the first lound the fonr leading teams should play in am ‘‘A” competition and the four remaining teams compete in a “B" competition. In each instance the highest team will play the third team and the second will play the fourth. The winners of each competition will play one another, but the points scored during the season will decide the championship. It was thought that this would keep interest from “flagging.” The subcommittee did not think that there would be any confusion in the public mind regarding each competition. The committee adopted the proposal, and it was agreed that the final match should extend to three days if possible. It was agreed that outside teams requiring a practice wicket should be charged £3 3s. The resignation of Mr M. Luckic as a delegate to the New Zealand Cricket Council. received with regret. Reese of Christchurch, telegraphed that the dates of the match between his scratch Canterbury team and Wellington would ho November 13th, 14th and 15th. . ’ . It was decided, to apply to the CityCouncil for the use of the Basin Reserve on November 13th, 14th and 15th and December 25th. 26th and 27th.
