Men, women, and children are literally starving in Dublin. The women and children are loitering in their homes, from which the furniture has been pawned to buy food. Larkin, head of tho Transport Workers’ Union in Dublin, who was recently committed for trial as a sequel to tho rioting, has been bailed out in a sum of £4OO. Ho has given his bond for his future good behaviour. EMPLOYERS DECLINE CONFERENCE. A COSTLY STRUGGLE. (Received September 14, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 14. The Employers’ Federation in Dublin notify that they decline to renew the conference with the workers. They state that they are confronted, not with an ordinary trade union, but with syndicalism seeking to deluge uninstructed , men with Continental theories in relation to Capital and La hour —theories which have broken down whenever they have been tried. They add that the struggle to nd themselves and their employees from the yoke of intimidation may bo costly but they have no alternative. , FARMERS’ DECISION. WILL LOCK OUT 2000 LABOURERS. (Received September 14, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, September 14. Farmers in Dublin county have resolved to lock out two thousand labourers belonging to the Transport Workers* Union.
