LATEST ONE AT TE AWAMUTD YESTERDAY. AN OFFICIAL BULLETIN. The following official bulletin was issued by the Health Department yesterday reporting on the small-pox outbreak in the north: “One case (a native) was admitted to the Point Chevalier Hospital (Auckland) to-day. Altogether there are twenty-seven cases under treatment in Auckland, of which twenty-five are natives.

“ Some twenty cases are under treatI moot in various parts of the Auckland i province, principally at Maungatautari, Kaikoho, Otorohanga, and To AwarauI tu. Three fresh cases are reported at Taupiri, and one case is under observation near Hastings. ‘‘Up to date there have been four deaths, the last death occurring to-day at Parawera, near To Awamutu. Dr Ounn is working among the natives in the neighboLirhood of To Awarnutu. Dr Ross is proceeding to Whatawhata, where a case is reported. Ho is cn route to Raglan, where other cases aro reported. Dr McKenzie is proceeding up the Wanganui river, and Dr Couzens to Tokaanu, en route to Taupo. “ Ten thousand doses of vaccine were sent into the Auckland province by this morning’s Main Trunk train, and some 6000 closes distributed throughout other parts of the Dominion. “ Vaccination is proceeding apace throughout tho North Island, the demand for lymph being very considerable. —T. MALADY SIMILAR TO THAT IN AUSTRALIA. A cablegram was received yesterday by Dr Valintine from Dr Makgill, who is in Sydney, stating that the epidemic there was identical with that in tho North Island. From Sydney Dr Makgill will go on to Melbourne te meet Dr Compton, Director of Quarantine for the Commonwealth.
