KELBURNE BOWLING CLUB
The third annual report of the Kelburue Howling Club, Etd., to bo .submitted at the annual meeting on J uiy 24 Dli, shows that the total receipts were i 226 I3s, and the expenditure 4s Bd. In regard to inter-club matcncs and tourney the club’s representatives have been more successful than in former years, having run into the semi-final the Pennant matches. The Edwin feathers were won once during the season. The club matches were not carried out as expeditiously as would have been desired, and the directors have a scheme in hand for the betterment of such matches in future. The directors report that they have been successful in securing, on favourable terms, a lease of a portion of Town Belt, section 48, and will place before the members a scheme for the disposal of the present property and the formation of a new green. The directors are of the opinion that it is desirable to increase the number of directors to twelve. Mr Meadowcroft having given notice of motion will move accordingly. Messrs Marquis and Moadowcroft, directors, retire by effluxion of time, and offer themselves for rc-election Mr J. S. Macartbur has been no minated to fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Mr E. C. Gannaway.
