MEN INJURED IN SALE-YARD

RACEHORSE BECOMES FRACTIOUS. Frees Association.

AUCKLAND, June 14.

At Buckland and Sons’ saleyards yesterday, the racehorse Luperiq, when being exercised for the benefit of buyers; became • fractious, and knocked down six men, three of whom were more or less seriously injured. The animal struck William Patterson, an elderly man, with its front feet and threw him on the ground, where he was trampled upon. John Delaney and J. Winters were also badly hurt. The two latter were removed to tho hospital. It is feared Patterson has been injured internally. Delaney’s injuries are not serious.
