MAORI TEAM
HITCH WITH .QUITENSTAND. NO LADIES WANTED. The proposed visit of the Maori team to Australia came before management committee of tho # New Zealand Kugby Union last evening. It appears that there is some trouble with the Queensland Union over tho expenses of members being made a second charge on gat© receipts. _ . The New South Wales Union wrote respecting the terms of the Maori team's visit to Australia that there had been a slight hitch in regard to the Brisbane match. The Queensland Union did not ogre© to the expenses of the whole party oi Maoris being charged as a second charge on the gat© receipts. The union pointed out that in 1910 the party, including some ladies, numbered nearly 30, and on this occasion they . would, only agree to the expenses of 21 being a sec-
ond charge on. the gate receipts. T. ho nratch against the Western Districts on June 25th would be played at Bathuret. It was -decided to defer consideration until a reply was received from Mr Parata. | ;
