AMBULANCE CLASSES

LECTURES AND PRACTICE FOR WOMEN. The St. John Ambulance Brigade (Wellington South nursing division) announces that classes will be held in St. James’s Hall, Adelaide road, on various dates from March 4th to September 30th. These classes are carried on purely for the following reasons.(1) To enable ’those holding first aid and nursing certificates to meet together for the purpose of developing the instruction imparted by the medical profession in ambulance and nursing work; (2) to afiord skilful nursing to the poor in their own homes during severe illness or in case of accident; (3) to organise highly trained nursing contingents prepared to nurse the wounded in time of war. As the young woman in search of knowledge is only too often dependent on a small income, the fee for attending the whole of the lectures' and practices is made as low as possible.
