PHANTOMS IN AIR
AN OFFICIAL GERMAN DECLARATION. LONDON, February 27. Reports show that the “phantom” airships were sighted in many diverse directions at about the same hour. BERLIN,. February 27. The “Cologne Gazette” regrets that neither English experts nor Government have yet attempted to rebut the monstrous suggestion that German aircraft are manoeuvring in England. The paper officially declares that no Gorman aircraft have ever visited England. A EIRE BALLOON FOUND. LONDON, February 27. A fire balloon 4ft high was found, partly, deflated, at Market Weighton, in Yorkshire. This explains the supposed airship seen on. the east coast. The steamer Orcadia saw an airship northward if the Orkneys.
