LOADING IN PELORUS SOUND,

T}ie Marine Department received n number of telegrams yesterday from various sources stating that the auxiliary scow Magic, about the safety of which some anxiety was felt, is loading timber at Tiraora, North-West Bay, Pelorus Sound, for Wellington. It transpires that the Magic was to have loaded at Havelock for Wellington, but at the eleventh hour she was ordered to proceed to North-West Bay. .She left Wellington last Thursday week, and as it was understood she had sailed for Havelock her r ".-arrival there caused uneasiness.
