The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Pakeha. which left Liverpool on February 4th for Australian and New Zealand ports, resumed her voyage from Capetown on Wednesday morning. AOBANGH FROM 'FRISCO, The Aorangi, of the Union Company’s fleet, arrived at Wellington last night from San Francisco via. porta, and after pratique was granted the vessel berthed at No. G Queen's wharf at 7.30. o’clock last evening. „ „ . The vessel left San Francisco at 11.30 a;m. on Wednesday, the sth inst., and called at Papeete and Rarotonga on route. ■ Departure was taken from the latter port at 10 p.m. on Thursday, the 20th instant. and anchor was dropped in Wellington harbour at 6.30 p.m. yesterday. Fine weather was experienced throughout, and the trip proved uneventful. A deck-golf tournament and deck sports were held during the voyage. The New Zealand cargo (totalling ,35 tons) comprises: 150 cases canned fislx, 835 cases canned fruit, 6517 cases dried fruits, 309 rolls felt, 25 oases canned asparagus, 39 cases periodicals, 1010 pieces lumber, a large quantity of sundries, aka fruit from the Islands. The Aorangi has 40 passengers for Sydney and a large general cargo for Australia. WHITE STAR LINB. ' Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., agents for the White Star Line, have received advice that the new liner Seramic, 18,000 tons, will sail from Liverpool for Australia about July 24th, arriving ip Sidney on September 10th. The Ceramic will be bv far the largest vessel that has ever come to Australia and she will bo fitted with all the latest improvements in shipbuilding. No pains have been spared to make this great liner comfortable tor travellers, and every means has

been taken to provide her with the latest ,iafety aopliances. One great feature about the passenger accommodation, which is for one class only. Is that a ; large proportion of the cabins are on the upper dack and situated in the midships of the vessel; there will therefore bo a minimum amount of vibration from the screws. The vessel is timed to leave Sydney en the Homeward voyage on September 24th, and arrive in London on November 13th. No doubt a large number of passengers will avail themselves of the opportunity of passage on so fine a vessel at the very moderate rates of passage money quoted. ICEBERGS SIGHTED.. ; A "Gazette" notice states: Commander E. E. G, R. Evans, E.N., of the British Antarctic Expedition R.Y.S. Terra Nova, reports having passed two large icebergs in positions as under, viz.: —Date, February Ist, 1913; position, 64deg lOmin south, 159 deg east; length of berg, twenty-one miles. Owing to the large size of these bergs, it may be expected that they will reach fairly low latitudes before disappearing entirely. MOANA FOE 'FRISCO. At 4.30 o’clock yesterday morning the Moana arrived at Wellington from Sydney direct, on route to San Francisco, The vessel berthed at the King’s wharf to load dairy produce and other caigo. The Moana is to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. RUAHINB ARRIVES AT HOBART. On Wednesday night the New Zealand Shipping Comp an Ys steamer Enahine arrived at Hobart from London and Plymouth via Capetown.
