CHARGE WITHDRAWN

NO CRIMINAL INTENT. Press Association. AUCKLAND, February 26. Frederick John Craddock, who was arrested in Auckland last week on a marge of having stolon a number of records of the Craddock Hardware Company, appeared in tho Police Court to-day. Leave was asked to withdraw tho charge. It was stated that the directors haa made an investigation, and had been satisfied that there was no criminal intent on tho part of accused. In fact, since ho had disappeared from Christchurch with the books ho had brought them up to date. Worry from overwork was stated to bo the cause of tus conduct. The charge was therefore withdrawn, and Craddock was discharged.
