AUSTRALIAN NAVY
SELECTION OP BRITISH ADMIRAL (deceived February 24, 11.55 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 24. in connection with the proposed appointment of a British admiral in supreme command of the Australian Navy though not officially announced, there is reason to believe that Rear-Admiral G. E. Patey, who commanded the second battle squadron of the second division of the Homo fleet, will be selected for the position.
