TROTTER TRAGEDY

Thompson has been remanded to January 23rd on a charge of murdering Trotter. Thompson underwent a sentence at Adelaide three years ago for assaulting a constable. it is stated that the, finger-prints then taken played an important part in his arrest. . . Tho theory that a woman participated in tho tragedy has been exploded. It was reported yesterday that a labourer named Thompson had been arrested and formally charged with the murder of Trotter, the chief collector for Maoltobert and Sons, confectioners, who on January 7th was shot dead in the presence of his wife and child. His two assailants secured over £2OO and escaped.
